Wizzo & Co. is excited to announce that Costume Designer Mekel Bailey has been nominated for a Costume Designers Guild Award for Excellence in Contemporary Television for his work on Baby Reindeer.
Since its release last year, Baby Reindeer has become one of Netflix’s most-watched shows and has been sweeping up accolades throughout award season. The series earned 11 Primetime Emmy nominations, including a nod for Mekel in Outstanding Costume Design in a Limited or Anthology Series.
The CDGAs will take place on February 6th.

Mekel Bailey
Mekel Bailey is an Emmy nominated Costume Designer working in film, TV, commercials, promos and celebrity styling. Mekel designed the Netflix original series Baby Reindeer based on Richard Gadd’s award-winning play and produced by Clerkenwell Films, which has become one of Netflix’s most watched series of all time. The drama has since been nominated in 11 categories at the 76th Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Limited Or Anthology Series. The show went on to win in 6 categories including, Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series. Mekel has since designed The Witness for STV and Netflix directed by Alex Winckler.
For commercials, Mekel has been nominated for a British Arrows Craft Award for his work on Make My Money Matter: Oblivia Coalmine directed by Raine Allen Miller and Facebook Portal: Life Lesson’s from Grandparents / Lesson No. 5 Life’s A Stage directed by Luke Brookner. He is currently nominated for Keanan: Current Account Switch Service directed by Bedroom.
