Baby Reindeer is out! With Costume Design by Mekel Bailey, Baby Reindeer follows “the writer and performer Richard Gadd’s warped relationship with his female stalker and the impact it has on him as he is ultimately forced to face a deep, dark buried trauma.”
Directed by Weronika Tofilska, Baby Reindeer stars Richard Gadd (Wedding Season), Jessica Gunning (Pride), Nava Mau (Generation) and Danny Kirrane (The Serpent Queen).
Within its first week of release Baby Reindeer became a global success, reaching number 1 in the Netflix Top 10 in both the UK and USA. The highly acclaimed show also scored 100% on Rotton Tomatoes.

Mekel Bailey
Mekel Bailey is an Emmy nominated Costume Designer working in film, TV, commercials, promos and celebrity styling. Mekel designed the Netflix original series Baby Reindeer based on Richard Gadd’s award-winning play and produced by Clerkenwell Films, which has become one of Netflix’s most watched series of all time. The drama has since been nominated in 11 categories at the 76th Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Limited Or Anthology Series. The show went on to win in 6 categories including, Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series. Mekel has since designed The Witness for STV and Netflix directed by Alex Winckler.
For commercials, Mekel has been nominated for a British Arrows Craft Award for his work on Make My Money Matter: Oblivia Coalmine directed by Raine Allen Miller and Facebook Portal: Life Lesson’s from Grandparents / Lesson No. 5 Life’s A Stage directed by Luke Brookner. He is currently nominated for Keanan: Current Account Switch Service directed by Bedroom.
