A huge congratulations to Costume Designer Mekel Bailey who has been nominated for Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Limited Or Anthology Series at the 2024 Emmy Awards for his work on Baby Reindeer.
Baby Reindeer follows “writer and performer Richard Gadd’s warped relationship with a female stalker and the impact it has on him as he is ultimately forced to face a deep, dark buried trauma.”
The hugely successful series which reached number 1 in the Netflix Top 10 in the UK and USA, stars Richard Gadd (Wedding Season), Jessica Gunning (Pride), Nava Mau (Generation) and Michael Wildman (The Bourne Ultimatum) to name a few.
Limited Netflix series Baby Reindeer has been nominated in a total of 11 different categories including; Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, Outstanding Directing For A Limited Or Anthology Series and Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Or Anthology Series.

Mekel Bailey
Mekel Bailey is an Emmy nominated Costume Designer working in film, TV, commercials, promos and celebrity styling. Mekel designed the Netflix original series Baby Reindeer based on Richard Gadd’s award-winning play and produced by Clerkenwell Films, which has become one of Netflix’s most watched series of all time. The drama has since been nominated in 11 categories at the 76th Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Contemporary Costumes For A Limited Or Anthology Series. The show went on to win in 6 categories including, Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series. Mekel has since designed The Witness for STV and Netflix directed by Alex Winckler.
For commercials, Mekel has been nominated for a British Arrows Craft Award for his work on Make My Money Matter: Oblivia Coalmine directed by Raine Allen Miller and Facebook Portal: Life Lesson’s from Grandparents / Lesson No. 5 Life’s A Stage directed by Luke Brookner. He is currently nominated for Keanan: Current Account Switch Service directed by Bedroom.
