Great 8 showcases 8 UK films at this year’s Cannes Marché. This is run by the BFI, British Council, BBC Films and Film4 and takes place at an annual private reception at Hotel Gray d’Albion.
This year’s showcase includes Days of the Bagnold Summer, a comedy directed by Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners, Friday Night Dinner). Days of the Bagnold Summer revolves around a heavy-metal music loving teenager (Earl Cave) trying to get along with his librarian mum (Monica Dolan) and features Production Design by Lucie Red. The film also stars Tasmin Greig (Green Wing, Shawn of the Dead, Black Books) and Nathanael Saleh (Mary Poppins Returns, Game of Thrones).
