After its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2019, The Souvenir won the World Cinema Dramatic Grand Jury Prize. The film is now scheduled to be released on May 17 2019.
The official film poster has also been released and the film stars, Honor Swinton Byrne as Julie, Tom Burke as Anthony, Tilda Swinton and Richard Ayoade.
The Souvenir is directed and written by Joanna Hogg, and features Production Design by Stéphane Collonge and Costume Design by Grace Snell.
Stéphane won the BIFA for his work on Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir Part II and was also nominated for The Souvenir Part I. Other features include Clio Barnard’s Ali & Ava, Sally El Hosaini’s My Brother the Devil and Francis Lee’s God’s Own Country. Television drama includes Trigonometry for director Rachel Athina Tsangari and Netflix’s Red Rose for director Ramón Salazar.
