Cinematographer Tim Sidell wraps feature Two For Joy, directed by Tom Beard.

Shot on location in Dorset and Wales over 6 weeks, the narrative explores “issues affecting marginal communities, including young careers, mental illness and national identity.” Screendaily.

Tim and director Beard have collaborated previously on short films Rags and Generation Of Vipers as well as music promos for artists such as Jessie Ware and Alpines. This is Beard’s debut feature with Screendaily reporting a cast including Samantha Morton, Billie Piper, Emilia Jones and a Daniel Mays.

Shot on 35mm, Two For Joy is produced through Blonde to Black Pictures.

Features include Peter Strickland’s Flux Gourmet, the National Theatre’s cinematic production of Romeo & Juliet starring Josh O’Connor and Jessie Buckley, and Two For Joy directed by Tom Beard, shot on 35mm and starring Samantha Morton & Billie Piper. Tim also shot 2nd Unit on Peter Strickland’s Berberian Sound Studio, creating the optical FX sequence. Television drama as lead Cinematographer includes Sky’s I Hate Suzie created by Lucy Prebble and Billie Piper, and directed by Georgi Banks-Davies.

Tim has collaborated with artists such as Runa Islam, Shezad Dawood, Zarina Bhimji, Emily Wardill and Bethan Huws as well as photographer/director Nadav Kander.
