Baghdad Central is a major TV drama, recently premiered on broadcaster Channel 4.
Set against the backdrop of the 2003 US-led occupation of Iraq, the series follows ex-police inspector Muhsin Kadr al-Khafaji who after the disappearance of his daughter, is faced with the prospect of turning collaborator to help his search. Actor Waleed Zuaiter heads the formidable cast as Khafaji, while others include Corey Stoll (House of Cards), July Namir (The Looming Tower) and Bertie Carvel (The Pale Horse).
Episodes 1-3 were shot by lead Cinematographer Christophe Nuyens SBC, with Director of Photography Dale Elena McCready shooting episodes 4-6.
Directed by Alice Troughton and Ben A. Williams, it was produced by Euston Films – the entire series is now available to view on catchup via the C4 website.
