BAFTA NOMINATIONS + RYAN KERNAGHAN ISC + SVERRE SØRDAL FNF

Feature Kneecap, cinematography by Ryan Kernaghan ISC and feature Sister Midnight, cinematography by Sverre Sørdal FNF have been BAFTA nominated!

Kneecap (Directed by Rich Peppiatt) has received 6 nominations including;

Sister Midnight (Directed by Karan Kandhari) has also been nominated for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer.

"A genre-bending comedy about a frustrated and misanthropic newlywed who discovers certain feral impulses that land her in unlikely situations. land her in unlikely situations."

The BAFTA's will be held on the 16 February. Congratulations to all who are nominated!

  • Sverre Sørdal

    Sverre’s features include BIFA / BAFTA nominated County Lines directed by Henry Blake, award winning Unruly directed by Malou Reymann which will receive its World Premiere at TIFF, and BIFA / BAFTA nominated Sister Midnight, directed by Karan Kandhari, which premiered at Cannes Directors Fortnight 2024.

    He shot documentary feature Cries to the Border directed by Matthew Halsall on location in Korea, and his shorts include Gus & Sons directed by Henry Blake as well as A Very Short Film About Longing directed by Eimear McBride. Whilst attending the NFTS he also shot BAFTA nominated and BIFA winning short film Slap and the award winning & high-octane Group B, starring Richard Madden, both directed by Nick Rowland.

    Sverre received a nomination from IMAGO for the Best Emerging Cinematographer of 2020 for his work on feature County Lines.

    BAFTA TV Craft Award Nominated.

    Features include BAFTA & BIFA winning Kneecap, directed by Rich Peppiatt, for which Ryan received an IFTA & BIFA nomination for Best Cinematography, Boys From County Hell, directed by Chris Baugh, and the darkly comic revenge thriller Bad Day for the Cut which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Drama includes Trespasses, for which Ryan received a BAFTA TV Craft nomination, directed by Dawn Shadforth, The Hunt for Raoul Moat directed by Gareth Bryn and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms S1.
