BFI FLARE + CHLOË BRADY + DARIUS SHU
Talent
A huge congratulations to our clients Darius Shu and Chloë Brady as their work is being shown at the BFI Flare Festival!
Production Designer Chloë Brady worked on Short Film, This Love Isn't Taught which is being shown in the Fragments of Us segment of the festival and receiving its World Premiere. Directed by Harry Brandrick, the story "follows Jordan, a young bisexual father torn between his public role as a parent and the hidden aspects of his identity, and Atlanta, an openly gay man who once held Jordan's heart. When they cross paths at a vibrant London party, old desires resurface, challenging Jordan to confront the parts of himself he's tried to suppress. As the chemistry between them reignites, Jordan finds himself at a crossroads: between the life he presents to the world and the love he truly longs for. Set against the backdrop of modern-day London, this is a raw and intimate exploration of love, identity, and the courage to embrace one's true self."
Cinematographer Darius Shu worked on Feature Documentary, Out Laws which is receiving its World Premiere at the BFI Flare. Directed by Lexi Powner and James Lewis, the short film is "A vital documentary charting the lives and court cases of LGBTQIA+ heroes, and the shocking colonial history of queer criminalisation".
