Daniel Isn’t Real + Kaet Mcanneny + Sxsw

Feature film Daniel Isn’t Real‘s World Premiere has been confirmed at the SWSW Film Festival 2019.

Directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer with Production Design by Kaet McAnneny, the film stars Patrick Schwarzenegger, Miles Robbins and Sasha Lane.

The film focuses on traumatised 8-year old boy, Luke who invents an imaginary friend named Daniel who leads them into a world of fantasy and imagination. After Daniel tricks Luke into doing something terrible, Luke is forced to lock him away. Twelve years later, Luke brings Daniel back – and he now appears as a charming, manipulative young man with a terrifying secret agenda.

SXSW Film Festival runs between 8-17 March 2019 in Austin, Texas.

KAET McANNENY

Kaet McAnneny is an accomplished Production Designer based in London & New York. Working in film, television and print. She has recently wrapped a feature alongside director Justin Chadwick, and also designed feature The Wolf Hour, starring Naomi Watts and directed by Alistair Banks Griffin, which received its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2019. Other notable work includes feature film Crown Heights directed by Matt Ruskin, which took the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in the Dramatic Competition, as well as the multiple award winning feature Blue Ruin directed by Jeremy Saulnier.
