Bifa + Franklin Dow

December 4, 2018

The acclaimed feature documentary Evelyn directed by the Oscar-winning Orlando von Einsiedel picked up the BIFA for Best Documentary on Sunday night.

Awarded 4 star reviews by The Guardian, Indiewire and Culture Fly, Evelyn follows von Einsiedel’s family as they go on a pilgrimage in honour of their brother, who committed suicide thirteen years earlier. An examination of one family’s grief as well as a study in addressing mental health, Evelyn is an incredibly important piece of work that encourages its audience to think, contemplate and discuss mental health.

Currently touring in cinemas across the UK, check the link here for screenings.

Franklin won an Emmy for his work on feature documentary Virunga, and also shot the Oscar winning short White Helmets, both of which were directed by von Einsiedel.
