Released in cinemas this Friday, Idris Elba’s directorial feature debut Yardie, with Production Design by Damien Creagh.
Filmed on location in Kingston, Jamaica and London, Yardie is adapted from Victor Headley’s novel and follows the path of Denis (Aml Ameen) from youth to adulthood, from Kingston to London.

Damien has recently wrapped feature film Calm With Horses, director Nick Rowland’s feature debut which stars Barry Keoghan & Cosmo Jarvis and was shot on location in Ireland. Previous work includes BIFA winning feature Nina, Forever, directed by the Blaine Bros., Elba’s television drama In The Long Run and BAFTA nominated Notes On Blindness directed by Peter Middleton & James Spinney.
