Bafta Nominations + Ryan Kernaghan Isc + Sverre SØrdal FNF

Feature Kneecap, cinematography by Ryan Kernaghan ISC and feature Sister Midnight, cinematography by Sverre Sørdal FNF have been BAFTA nominated! 

 

Kneecap (Directed by Rich Peppiatt) has received 6 nominations including; 

  • Outstanding British Film 
  • Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer 
  • Films Not in the English Language 
  • Original Screenplay 
  • Casting 
  • Editing 

When fate brings Belfast teacher JJ into the orbit of self-confessed ‘low life scum’ Naoise and Liam Og, the needle drops on a hip hop act like no other. Rapping in their native Irish, they lead a movement to save their mother tongue.” 

 

Sister Midnight (Directed by Karan Kandhari) has also been nominated for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer. 

“A genre-bending comedy about a frustrated and misanthropic newlywed who discovers certain feral impulses that land her in unlikely situations. land her in unlikely situations.” 

 

The BAFTA’s will be held on the 16 February. Congratulations to all who are nominated!
