THE HIPPOPOTAMUS, a feature adaptation of Stephen Fry’s celebrated novel, receives its UK premiere and opens the BFI LOCO Film Festival 2017.
The film was directed by John Jencks with Production Design by Stephane Collonge – it stars Roger Allan, Fiona Shaw, Tim McInnerny and Matthew Modine and received its World Premiere in 2016 at Palm Springs Int’l Film Festival.
Stéphane won the BIFA for his work on Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir Part II and was also nominated for The Souvenir Part I. Other features include Clio Barnard’s Ali & Ava, Sally El Hosaini’s My Brother the Devil and Francis Lee’s God’s Own Country. Television drama includes Trigonometry for director Rachel Athina Tsangari and Netflix’s Red Rose for director Ramón Salazar.
