Directed by Shiva Raichandani, short film Always, Asifa has been nominated for Best Short Form Programme at the BAFTA Television Awards 2023!
With Cinematography by Darius Shu, Always, Asifa stars Asifa Lahore (Faces, Tore Bina, Queer Parivaar) and follows Asifa who is preparing to finally undergo gender affirmation surgery. Asifa is a “disabled trans activist, who is also Britain’s first out Muslim drag queen [who] reflects on how her life has – and hasn’t – changed during her transition.”
