Joanna Hogg’s future sequel to feature The Souvenir Part 1, which is playing in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at Sundance this weekend, has been picked up by A24 for distribution ahead of Part 1’s worldwide premiere which takes place this Sunday, 27 January 2019.
Designed by Hogg’s long term collaborator Stéphane Collonge, with costumes designed by Grace Snell. The feature, set in the 1980s, features Honor Byrne Swinton in her debut film role.
The Souvenir Part 2 is scheduled to go into production in the Summer, with Martin Scorsese acting as Executive Producer on both features.
The Souvenir Part 1 next screens at the Berlin Film Festival in February.
Grace’s most recent work includes feature Vs. directed by Ed Lilly, and she is attached to an embargoed feature set to go into production in a few weeks.
Stéphane is currently working on an original drama that will air the latter end of 2019.
